We all have friends or family who have fantastic plans and resolutions to get in more exercise in the new year. We have friends and family that might already be working out and need some items to round out their fitness arsenal.
If you have someone on your shopping list, whether for Christmas or a birthday or just as a thank you, that is into fitness, this fitness gift guide will have some ideas that might ease your shopping woes.
The following fitness gift guide has a wide range of price points but I hope one or two will be helpful in taking care of a couple people on your list. This is only a tiny list, and there were so many other things that could’ve been added, but my goal is to keep things broad enough to reach any fitness level. Many of these items you don’t even have to worry if they already own one – water bottle, headbands, duffle bags, owning more than one is a blessing! Give me two, three, four water bottles and I’m a happy girl.
My hair is a natural disaster and when I work out, it manages to get worse. I truly need headbands, headbands that stay put. I’ve had the best luck with LuLuLemon headbands not sliding off my head during a miserable WOD. These are worth the money!
90 degrees leggings
LuLu Lemon headbands are barely in my price point. LuLuLemon leggings aren’t in my price range yet. I have tried several brands and I really like the 90 Degree by Reflex leggings to workout in. They’re sturdy and comfortable and stay put.
These are not good for crossfit, but they are FANTASTIC walking shoes and I have had them recommended by a physical therapist for arch support. For the person on your list who loves to walk, these are a great option.
Neck pain. Back pain. Tight muscles. This weird looking contraption is a must have! It’s fantastic for those hard to reach places or when you don’t have someone to rub your back.
Wireless Bluetooth headphones
I honestly didn’t see the big deal with these until I left my headphones at home and had to buy a pair at the airport. Again. I bought a wireless pair and won’t go back to corded.
Although these are by and far the most expensive thing on the list, they are one of the most practical for someone wanting to start using weights at home. They don’t take up much space and the weights are adjustable, allowing for one purchase to work for quite some time. If I had the extra money, these would be in my non-existent home gym!
No matter what kind of gym you attend, a good duffel bag i s a necessity. Whether you need a full change of clothes, or just a workout towel, water and music, it’s nice to have a dedicated bag. This brand is great because it folds up so small and is lightweight, perfect for taking on trips or just to use at the gym.
Anybody who knows my youngest child knows he’s addicted to water bottles. For an 8 year old, his obsession wavers between cute and maddening. I’ve seen all sorts of bottles and have learned that many times you get what you pay for! This is a fantastic water bottle with an easy drink lid for sports and working out.
I’m pretty sure this might be the most important thing on this list. Everyone could benefit from rolling out their muscles and this is the top dog. I have a cheap foam roller. Do not buy a cheap foam roller. The best thing about it is that when my child uses it as a weapon against his older brother, it doesn’t hurt. On that some note, it doesn’t do anything to my muscles either. This is a great item to have in your fitness toolbox!
I hate to recommend shoes. I recommended Saucony above for walking shoes because I do believe that they are some of the best and most comfortable shoes to walk all day in, and I love mine. Crossfit shoes, on the other hand, are such a personal thing. Different people love different kinds, but I still believe they make a GREAT present for that person who participates in Crossfit. I personally like Reebok because they fit true to size and I’m never left guess what size I might have to buy. That is the reason they made it on my list, easy sizing, popular brand used by a lot of Crossiftters.
